Yeast infection?
i have a question about yeast infection. is it curable?
and are any of these are true and safe to use to get rid of it?
Home Remedies for Treating Yeast Infection
Vaginal yeast infection can either be cured orally or by vaginal insertion. Most of these home remedies have been tried and tested for their efficacy. You can usually cure yourself in the privacy of your home without the need to visit your gynecologist.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is a known natural antifungal. Pour a few drops of undiluted tea tree oil on a tampon and insert into vagina. Do this morning and night. A couple of days should be sufficient.
Garlic
Make a paste of garlic pods and apply to skin around the vagina. It may burn a bit, but is very effective. This paste can be used for yeast infection in other parts of the body too. Another way to use garlic for the cure of vaginal yeast infection is to cut a few garlic pods fine and wrap it in a cheesecloth. Insert into vagina for about 20 minutes

Go to either wal*mart or cvs, walgreen, rite aid, etc. Go to the vitamin section and look for "Acidophilus". These vitamins work wonders!! You will notice a change in about 2 days. And for example……. say you think you have a yeaste infection…. but it turns out you really have a bacterial infection it will still work. It cures all type of vaginal infections. I have done some research here on yahoo answers and that is how i found out about the vitamin. A bottle of acidophilus cost about $4.00-$10.00
Also i have also heard if you get the gel caps of acidophilus you can insert them into the vagina and it is supposed to make it work quicker. I think they sell the gel caps at local health food stores. Good luck to you. Hope this info helps.

If you have had a yeast infection before, then yes you can cure it with OTC products. I don't recommend the garlic and tea tree oil or you might end up with your crotch on fire! You are already probably raw and tender and adding garlic or tea tree oil is going to send you into orbit!
You can buy things like Miconazale Nitrite Vaginal Cream or Monistat or Gynolotrimin over the counter at any drugstore or supermarket or Dollar General. Keep yourself clean and wear clean underwear (bleach all your underwear to help to prevent re-infection). Watch your diet cut back on sugars, starches, bread, beer things of that nature. Hope this helps

Acidophilus is a group of probiotic bacteria cultures found in common foods like yogurt. Introducting these cultures into the body during a yeast infection is a great way to rebalance your PH levels and kill the candida overgrowth.
Some recommend applying PLAIN yogurt to the outside vaginal area. However, eating the yogurt should have the same effect.
It's important to use PLAIN yogurt because flavored yogurts contain extra sugars that actually encourage yeast infections.

If these conventional home remedies do not work, the next approach is to try some common over-the-counter medicines. Azole medications are most common in yeast infection treatment. These are antifungal medications, and they work by blocking the formation of ergosterol, a key constituent of the yeast cell wall. The yeast cell wall becomes leaky in the absence of ergosterol, and the yeast dies. Incidentally, human cells are safe from azole action, as ergosterol is not a constituent of human membranes. The frequently used OTC azole formulations are clotrimazole, miconazole, butoconazole, fluconazole etc.
Another common antifungal medication that is used for thrush (oral yeast infection) is nystanin. For severe, systemic infections of yeast, doctors prescribe amphotericin B. These medications work by attaching to the ergosterol on the yeast wall and cause minor holes in the wall. The cell wall becomes leaky, and eventually the yeast dies.
By a week or so, yeast infections cure with applications of these medicines. If the symptoms still persist, it is advisable to go for a medical check-up. Your doctor may order a blood sugar test or some other tests to find out whether there is any complication like diabetes that is contributing to a general decline of immunity.
